Hello there,
It has been a considerable break for me, from blogging, and from the jog trot of all other nitty grittes of the world. Of course, the break is very much appreciated, on my part, albeit excessively squander-ish. It hurts me so much to even think how close school is starting.
I love my freedom, thank you very much.
Well, for the past few days, my new found obsession of Rappelz has taken away hours, in days and nights. In return giving me a fair share of short sightedness. I’m getting sick of the game though. The constant on-quests-to-hunt-for-monsters-to-gain-levels is such a quintessential element of modern MMORPG games, it is difficult to ascertain which game is actually worth the days and nights.
In such, I can’t help but find all of my gaming obsessions short-lived; I can’t even be bothered get past the level 25 hurdle in the game. The time and effort needed to level up far outweighs any satisfaction gained when you finally see the small increase. The Decreasing Returns To Scale of this process makes levelling up in MMORPGS an onerous task.
Yes, I’m a noob gamer.
Had a good walk around Orchard just now. I must say the lack of exercise is apparent from the immediate lethargy felt after walking for, say, 2hours. Lethargy meaning being sian or simply shagged; not energetic and bubbly.
Christmas decorations around the area are really disappointing, being substandard as best, compared to previous years. The best decoration would be the lighted makeshift-shophouse just outside Tangs. Carollings were so obviously pre-recorded and the only decent performance was by the band, who kept taking breaks after singing a few songs that each ended after 4-5 sentences. I don’t even know what they are doing, but at least they sound good, whatever they are doing.
And there was a hot ‘angel couple’ in Mont Blanc giving out candies, I supposed, to people who ventured in. The female has a gorgeous face and the guy has freaking long legs, which I feel should be mine. Plus, we saw this pair of parents who made their daughter ‘face the wall’ at Taka; talk about embarrassment on the kids part.
Those who were with me just now probably has enough of what I’m going to say next but I’ll continue here anyway. The westerners in Singapore have grown to such a shockingly large number. There is practically a western family everywhere I turn in Fareast, either a fully western, or an asian-western family, with freakishly cute mixed(or not) kids.
10 years down the road, you’ll probably see loads of western kids going to normal schools, unlike their congregation in the International School now.
